Courses & Workshops

We run a range of printmaking & creative courses throughout the year.

All courses are held at Quercus Studio, our purpose-designed fully equipped art studio in rural Kent.

Courses & workshops range from 2 hours to 2 days - please see details listed to the right - but can be bespoke, so please do get in touch.

All courses & workshops involve non-toxic processes and inks.

  • Beginners workshop - 1 full day, or 2 hours. If you are new to printmaking, this is the course to take.

  • 2 day workshop. Learn to prep a plate, work with non-toxic hard ground, produce a line image, then use an airbrush to create areas of shade. Print a small edition (e.g. 5 prints).
    This is suitable for those with experience of & familiarity with printmaking.

  • 1 day workshop - learn a range of techniques for putting colour on an etching plate, including viscosity, à la poupée and chine collé.

  • Beginners workshop - 1 full day, or 2 hours. Printing on Tetrapak cartons.

  • 1 day workshop. A collograph is a mixed media plate, built up with acrylic and a range of textures to create a ‘printing matrix’.
